Video: Alaminos Pangasinan for Holy Week

Time for the trip to Pangasinan for Holy Week again! This time Mom and Dad couldn't come along but they let me go with Grandpa and all the Lolas. I also didn't have a yaya with me. Grandpa and I slept in the same room at Lola Hang's house. I asked if we could move the two beds side by side so I wouldn't be too scared and it was okay with him. I also brought books with me and he read to me before going to bed but only the first night. I know they're supposed to be bedtime stories but they don't really put me to sleep. I just keep wanting to hear more! Hah!

Unfortunately, Grandpa forgot to bring the camera when we went to the beach so there were no pictures but hey, we all still had a great time!

Holy Week Procession at Alaminos Pangasinan

It was time for the procession! We waited and watched for them to pass by the house in Sadsaran and then we joined in afterwards. The statue of St. Martha has been with the family for quite some time now. I think Lola Martha was named after her! Every year they would decorate the carriage and fill it up with lots of flowers from Baguio and St. Martha would join the procession. This year was no different.

After the procession and events of that day, people would usually come by the house for a small salo-salo.
